2010 TRIP SCHEDULE POSTED!
WELCOME
to the 32nd year of water skiing with the Lake Piru Water Ski Club. We had a terrific 2009 ski season. Be sure to click on the
CALENDAR button to the left for the 2010 schedule.
SOUTH LAKE SKI RANCH
We go to South Lake Ski Ranch, a private water-ski lake in the
Bakersfield area, once a month from May through October. The lake has a
slalom course and mini-course, a wakeboard jump and a wakeboard rail. This is
great place to go for perfect water, all day long.
GEORGE AND HIS SNEAKS
George has long been in the habit of making an early morning run in his sneakers (no skis) every day that he is at Kings River. Pete made a video of George on his early morning "sneak run" and posted it on YouTube. Check it out at http://youtube.com/watch?v=mkQHUZCkDf4
USA WATER SKI MEMBERSHIP
THIS IS IMPORTANT! You must be a registered USA Water Ski
Supporting Member in order to ski with us at the South Lake Ski Ranch. This is to insure that all skiers carry sufficient liability insurance to meet the lake owners' requirements. If you register on-line, your registration is effective immediately. We will be verifying memberships with USA Water Ski prior to our first trip to South Lake in May.
ABOUT US
We ski on public waterways and private ski lakes throughout Southern and Central California. Our members come from all walks of life and represent a broad cross section of water ski skills. If you like to have fun skiing, then you will have fun here. It doesn't matter if you are an experienced three event competitor, a show skier, a just-for-the-fun-of-it skier, or are just getting started, this is the club for you in Southern California!
